A Checkered Past

The historic and iconic Streamline Hotel has had many milestones over the years from The Birthplace of Stock Car Racing and Headquarters of the Women’s Auxiliary Army Corp during WWII to a more recent feature on Travel Channel’s Hotel Impossible. Streamline’s Art Deco architecture, Free Mason symbology and mysterious hotel safe add to her allure.

Storied Past,
Bright Future

Opened in 1940, the Streamline Hotel has been an iconic feature of the Daytona Beach area.

The renovations were completed in May 2017 and has brought this beautiful piece of the past into the future.

Bill France

"The purpose of this association is to unite all stock car racing under one set of rules; to set up a benevolent fund and a national point standing system whereby only one stock car driver will be crowned national champion."

Bill France Sr. organized a meeting at the Streamline Hotel to discuss the problems facing stock car racing and from that meeting, the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing was born.

The Long Road Back….

In May of 2017 the historic Streamline Hotel officially crossed the finish-line of its $6 million renovation and reopened it’s doors to the public.

Owner Edmond Hennessy took great pride in keeping the historic aspect of the original hotel and adding elements of South Beach style to bring it up to date.

Every room on every floor has had great care taken to preserve history and give guests a high end stay from a boutique hotel that they keep coming back for.
